Historically we have a small percentage of the licensed
PCO's in the state involved in our organization. This may
have been workable in the past, but in the 21st century it
is counter to your interests to sit on the sidelines and
let a few of your fellow business people control this
organization. With future pressures on our product, our
service viability and our interaction with our customers,
we must develop into and organization of influence with the
Department of Agriculture and with our government
representatives. We must change to meet the demands of
modern economics, regulations, and evolving technologies in
our profession. We need to ensure that these different
entities, that we interact with on a daily basis,
understand that we represent protection of their property,
their health and their safety. The role we play will be
ever changing due to technical improvements, governmental
regulations and restrictions, and the public's perception
of our industry and the impact we have on their
environment. The Oklahoma Pest Control Association is
excited about these changes and looks to the future to
prove our professionalism and our reliability to the
consumer.
